How to install Simple Voice Chat for DonutSMP

Find this mod in the library

For proximity voice, you need the correct Java client mod and a working server voice service. Installing a client mod cannot add voice support to a server; confirm current DonutSMP service availability if it will not connect.

Install the client

  1. Check your exact Minecraft version and loader. This library's Fabric setup needs the Fabric release of Simple Voice Chat.
  2. Download its client JAR and any required dependencies. A Paper or Spigot plugin file belongs on a server, not in your launcher.
  3. Put the files in your launcher instance's mods folder, then launch that instance. See the installation guide for folders.

Set up your microphone

Press V for the mod's setup guide. Select microphone and speakers, choose push-to-talk or voice activation, and configure the key or threshold. Allow Minecraft or Java to use the microphone in your operating system.

Voice chat not working? Diagnose the symptom first.

Check the official DonutSMP rules before playing. They prohibit Easy Place, inventory modifications, mouse tweaks, scrollers, macros and unfair advantages. A release listing does not mean server approval.
